Mise en Scene
Location
The location for my cover photo will be on the school field under a tree, I have chosen to use this location to show the relaxing places to study/read while in school, it will also show the pupil is enjoying studying/reading as they're not in a working environment and the learning taking place isn't in the classroom. Overall it will show the pupil is relaxed and enjoys reading.
Actors
I will only be using one actor in my photo to show independent learning I plan to have an older student (year 10/11) being featured to show the maturity of the older year group to the audience. Using one actor also ensures that the picture isn't busy and allows me to put more text on the cover. My actor will be wearing the full Oldershaw Academy school uniform to show that the school has high standards when it comes to uniform.
Camera Shot
The image will be a longshot to get most of the model into the frame, they will be situated under a tree and will also be using props so a longshot will allow the audience to see everything that is happening in the scene while also being able to see detail of the props and the models face, it will also leave room on the grass and walls for text.
Costume
My actor will be wearing the full Oldershaw School Uniform and will be dressed to the correct Oldershaw uniform standard (e.g. correct length tie) to portray the schools pupils dress smartly and correct when attending school.
Props
My actor will be reading a age suitable book in the photo, they will be reading it to portray to the audience that the actor is independently learning and so they also look academic.
Narrative
I intend to portray to the audience that the Oldershaw Academy is a highly academic school with pupils who respect the uniform standards and abide by them, I also intend to portray that pupils do extra educational learning on their own outside of school, it is also going to portray that the pupils are relaxed within an educational environment and enjoy learning.
